Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 18, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how WeMadeThis OÜ ("we," "us," "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you visit catharsis.cards or purchase one of our digital guides. It does not cover the separate Catharsis Cards mobile app, which has its own in-app privacy disclosures.
1. Who we are
WeMadeThis OÜ
Järvevana tee 9
Kesklinna linnaosa, Tallinn 11314
Harju maakond, Estonia
Contact: findyourcatharsis@gmail.com
2. What information we collect
When you browse the site
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use the site — pages viewed, approximate location (derived from IP address, not stored precisely), device and browser type, and referral source. This relies on cookies and similar technologies. We also track when a guide's "Buy" button is clicked (which guide, which platform), so we can see which products are performing, without this being tied to your payment details.
Some sections of the site display embedded posts from Instagram, X (Twitter), and Pinterest. These platforms may set their own cookies or collect data when their embedded content loads, governed by their own privacy policies, not this one.
When you purchase a guide
Checkout is handled entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your payment card details. Stripe collects your email address and payment information to process the transaction — see Stripe's Privacy Policy.
After a successful purchase, your email address and order details (which guide, which platform, purchase date) are stored in our internal order-fulfillment system so that we can email you the PDF guide and your bonus access code, and so we can investigate and resolve any delivery issues you report to us.
When you subscribe to our newsletter
If you enter your email address into the newsletter signup form, we store that address with our email delivery provider, Brevo, in order to send you occasional updates about Catharsis Cards, new guides, and reflections. We use it for nothing else, and we do not sell or share it.
The newsletter uses double opt-in: after submitting the form you will receive an email asking you to confirm, and you are only added to the list once you click that link. If you never confirm, your address is not added.
Subscribing is entirely optional and separate from buying a guide — purchasing does not add you to the newsletter, and the newsletter list is kept separate from any other mailing we operate. Every newsletter we send includes an unsubscribe link, and you can withdraw your consent at any time either through that link or by emailing us. Once you unsubscribe, your address is removed from the mailing list.
3. Why we process this data
- To fulfil your order — necessary to perform our contract with you (deliver the guide and bonus code you paid for).
- To operate and improve the site — our legitimate interest in understanding usage and fixing problems.
- To send you our newsletter — based on the consent you give by submitting the signup form, which you can withdraw at any time.
- Analytics cookies — where required by law, based on your consent.
4. Who we share data with
We use the following service providers, each of which processes data on our behalf under their own security and privacy terms:
- Stripe — payment processing
- Google (Analytics, Apps Script, Sheets, Drive, Gmail) — site analytics and automated order fulfillment/email delivery
- Brevo — newsletter subscriber list and email delivery
- Vercel — website hosting
- Instagram, X, Pinterest — embedded content on the site, only when those sections are viewed
We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
5. International data transfers
Some of the providers above (including Stripe, Google and Vercel) may process data outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States, under appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses. Brevo, which handles our newsletter, is a French company processing data within the European Union.
6. How long we keep your data
Order records (email address, purchase details) are kept for as long as needed to fulfil your order, respond to support requests, and meet our legal and tax record-keeping obligations — under the Estonian Accounting Act, accounting source documents must be kept for 7 years from the end of the financial year they relate to. Newsletter subscriptions are kept only until you unsubscribe. Analytics data is retained according to Google Analytics' default retention settings.
7. Your rights
If you are located in the European Economic Area or another jurisdiction with similar protections, you generally have the right to: access the personal data we hold about you; request correction or deletion of it; restrict or object to certain processing; request a copy of your data in a portable format; and lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at findyourcatharsis@gmail.com.
8. Cookies
The site uses essential cookies (e.g. to remember your color theme preference) and analytics cookies (Google Analytics 4). Embedded social posts may set additional third-party cookies when displayed. The newsletter signup form itself sets no cookies — it submits your address directly to Brevo when you choose to subscribe.
9. Children's privacy
This site is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
